Hello World …
Yes – I know – yet another blog; however, I think I have some valid and hopefully exciting comments to the industry in which I have worked for more than 10 years. And I have decided to pick a narrow focus, yet something which I find extremely fascinating – specifically:
How to increase publisher (affiliate) revenue through analytics!
Thus a title for my blog including not only Web Analytics, but also Affiliate Marketing. And having read Avinash’s blog from the very beginning, I decided that the Analytics industry needed another “exceptionally friendly Danish man” - as Rand from SEOmoz.org so nicely labelled me, when I met him on the bus on our way to a “Google Dance”, just remember to delete the Danish part, if you think of Avinash ;-)
My qualitative goal:
To Participate more actively in the “blogosphere” – in particular those Blogs that I read on a day to day basis. Like: Avinash, Rand, Eric Peterson, Gary Angel, Shoemoney etc.
My quantitative goals, by the end of this year are:
100 posts
300 comments
500 subscribers
Subjectivity. Be aware that most screen shots used here will be from IndexTools Web Analytics Enterprise – of course :-)
- even though I would be happy to entertain and deploy a Site Catalyst or Visual Site account should a deranged sales executive want to supply me with access.
Cheers
Dennis

Welcome Buddy!! The blogosphere is richer for having you join the conversation, I’ll add a link from my blog to yours.
I have to quibble about the narrow niche, given my humble awareness of your knowledge there is so much more wisdom that you could impart. I would ask you to reconsider the niche.
Goals are great! :)

Thank you for the comment Avinash,
We spend day in and day out educating our Clients about the fact that without Goals (and these at best defined as a set of KPI’s) – Web Analytics is not worth the initial investment. So I somehow felt obligated to at least set myself some basic goals for the blog. :)
In regards to the narrow niche; I actually believe that I, by being very focused (something I think most Entrepreneurs are forced to be, if they want to succeed) – is creating an advantage, as I can wander off the subject from time to time knowing where to return.
So you and everybody else will definitely see me wander off in other directions.
… and thanks for the first comment on my blog. 299 to go! :-)
