Briefing on Web Analytics and the Yahoo! acquisition of IndexTools
Snow Valley is hosting a briefing - to show how the Yahoo! acquisition of IndexTools affects the web analytics market. And I am very happy to say that I will particpate in the event as the offical Yahoo! dude. I can see that the first most obvious question already arrived in the Yahoo Web Analytics Forum:
“Does that mean you can create new accounts, and if so, what would be the chances of that happening as a result of this breakfast“, no joking around and an absolutely brilliant question. :-)

Snow Valley is delighted to announce that Dennis R. Mortensen, Head of Data Insights at Yahoo!, will be speaking at our IndexTools briefing on Thursday 3rd July.
Our breakfast briefing follows the announcement in April that Yahoo! had acquired IndexTools, one of the leading providers of web analytics software.
Industry watchers have previously described IndexTools as ‘80% of Omniture for a fraction of the cost’. As Yahoo! intends to offer IndexTools for free, it’s no wonder that many in the industry have described the deal as a ‘permanent game changer’.
Snow Valley is the UK’s leading partner-reseller of IndexTools. We will be holding a breakfast briefing on Thursday 3rd July where we will cover:
- An introduction to Index Tools and how it can help your business
- How organisations can get access to Index Tools now
- What the deal means for clients using Index Tools already
- How Index Tools compares to other analytics packages in the market
- How to get the most from Index Tools
The event will be held on 3rd July 2008 in Central London and is free of charge

Hey, just a comment to say I was very impressed after I attended the event, and hoping that Rubix does come out as well - hopefully free, and looking forward to using Index Tools in the future.

Hi Gerry,
I am happy that you saw something you liked :-)
AND for Rubix? – I will certainly keep everybody posted about that.
Do get in contact with Brian or Andy from the US parts of AARF for access to the tool.
Cheers
Dennis
